Orlan A. Still, 91, of Sissonville went to be with the LORD December 28, 2006 at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home after a long illness.
Orlan was a member of the Iron Workers local 301, and was a member of the South Park Baptist Church. Orlan loved camping, fishing and hunting.
Preceded in death by: Parents, Oscar and Mae Still; Brothers, Harry and Elden Still; Sisters, Faye Withrow and Inamae Hedrick.
Survived by: Loving wife of 47 years, Maxine Still at home; Children and their spouses, George Wayne and Lucretia Still of Huntersville, NC, and Linda and Danny Casdorph of Charleston; Sister, Madeleine and husband Cecil Ramsey of Peterstown, WV; Grandchildren, Kelly Still of Huntersville, NC, Natalie and Husband Forrest Armstrong, and Monica and Husband Chip Light all of Charleston; Great Grandchildren, Whittney and Makayla Armstrong, and Chase and Morgan Light all of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. James Griffith, Dr. Greg Briscoe, the Doctors and Staff of Sissonville Family Medicine, the Staff at CAMC General 6 east, the Staff at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home, special friends Ronnie Miller and Family, Aaron Stire, Nancy and Eddie Board, and a host of other friends.
The funeral service will be 2pm Saturday, December 30th at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with the Rev. Sandy Burdette officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Friends may call 5-8pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
