Olive V. Hinzman, 85, of Allens Fork, passed away Nov. 9, 2007, at home after a short illness.
She was a homemaker, a Sunday school teacher at Mount Tabor Church, and had a wealth of nieces and nephews. She also had a love for flowers, books and knowledge.
She was preceded in death by parents, James Gerbis Pritt and Icy Boggess Pritt; husband, Thermus S. Hinzman; children, Carolyn S. Hinzman, Michael R. Hinzman, and Jerry D. Hinzman; sisters, Francis Walker, Ernie Reed, and Mernia Coleman; brothers, Clement Pritt, Guy Pritt, James Pritt, Vernon Pritt, and Lawrence Pritt.
She is survived by son, Raymond A. Hinzman of Sissonville; sister, Ruby Parsons; grandchildren, Samantha Light of St. Albans and Chris Hinzman and David Hinzman, both of Virginia; great-grandchildren, Heather, Christian, and Zachary Light and Taylor Hinzman.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville, with the Rev. Edison Hager officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
