Noah A. Thaxton, Jr., 69, of Charleston, entered into peace on March, 18, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House. He was born December 17, 1948. Avil was retired from Associated Radiologist.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Noah "Avil" and Glendora Thaxton; nephew, George Lee Thaxton.

Left to cherish is memory is his wife of 44 years, Shirley Thaxton; brother, Larry "Keith" Thaxton (Cheryl); three nephews and two nieces; two great nephews and a niece whom he was so proud of; and special family friend, Joan Gortney.

Funeral services will be at 11am on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service. Internment will immediately follow at Abe Thaxton Cemetery.
