Nell Jean Holmes, 69, of Sissonville went to be with the Lord October 21, 2009 at home after a long illness.
Nell Jean was a homemaker, a devout Christian and was a founding member of the Northhills Baptist Church. She was a also a former treasurer, choir singer, and also was on the church planning committee. She loved her flowers, and gardening. Her life revolved around her family, and she especially loved her grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, Andy and Myrtle Kiser.
Left to cherish her memory is loving husband of 50 years, Darrell Holmes at home; sons, David Holmes and his wife, Kim, Greg Holmes and his significant other, Debbie Waller, all of Sissonville, and Eric Holmes and his wife, Heather, of Kenna; grandchildren, Tara, Adam, Austin, Lindsay, Andrew, and Brianna Holmes.
The Funeral Service will be 2pm Saturday, October 24 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Mike Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6-9pm Friday at the funeral home.
