NANCY LONG (SERGENT) Nancy Lynn Sergent-Long, 83, of Charleston, passed away on August 21, 2022 at Celebration Villa of Teays Valley. Born on March 20, 1939 in Grafton, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Darl Sergent and Mary Christine Steinbeck Sergent. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. "Dick" Long. She is survived by her cousin, William "Bill" Daugharty; goddaughter, Lisa Edens and her 4 beloved pomeranians. Nancy was the co-owner of Long & Fisher Funeral Home in Sissonville with her husband, Richard L. "Dick" Long, for 27 years. They were members of Berry Hills and Edgewood Country Clubs and enjoyed planning lavish Christmas parties that everyone loved . She traveled extensively throughout Europe, New York and California during her time as an executive with Avon. Nancy loved animals and was a supporter of the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the funeral home, with Pastor Bill Jones, officiating.
