Nancy McCutcheon

Dementia and tremors have lost their grasp.  With a clear mind and a steady hand, Nancy "Louise" McCutcheon departed this mortal existence to her home on high on January 18, 2019 at Hubbard Hospice West.

Louise was the daughter of Steven Henry Smith and Ola Green Lilly Smith.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Chester McCutcheon and brothers, John, Harold & James Smith.

Louise was a very loving person and took great care of her family.  She was a phenomenal seamstress having worked at Stone & Thomas, Pecks, The Quality Shop, Chequer's, David's Bridal and The Dresser.  She fitted some of WV First Lady's at the governor's mansion. Louise was a member of the Rich Fork Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, Chester Eugene & Barbara McCutcheon and Danny & Madonna McCutcheon, all of Charleston.  Grandchildren, Jennifer Neuerburg of Michigan, Kimberly Parsons, Jason, Matthew, LeeAnn, Brianna and Taylor McCutcheon all of Charleston.  Step-grandchildren, Ken and Rick Slater.  She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.  Her siblings include, Yvonne Ratliff and Emma Bailey of Ohio and Kenneth Smith of Beeson.

Service will be held at 1p.m. Monday, January 21, at Long & Fisher Funeral home, with Pastor David Vanhorn officiating.    Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Jenkins Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hubbard Hospice House, West, 4605-A MacCorkle Ave., South Charleston, WV 25309.  The family wishes to thank Valley Center for the great care they gave.
