Milton "Buford" Meadows, 82, of Tuppers Creek died Thursday December 7, 2006 at the home of his sister in Lewisburg, WV.
Buford was born November 8, 1924 to Barger Meadows and Linda Hall. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 61 years, Mary Lou Meadows.
Buford is survived by three children, Don Meadows of Liberty, Diana Meadows Parsons of Charleston and Milton Boyd Meadows of Tuppers Creek; six grandchildren, Garrett Meadows, Jeff Parsons, Maschelle Parsons Peyton, Rhondell Meadows Miller, Stacy Parsons and Cody Meadows who has been with his grandparents much of his life; nine great-grandchildren; seven sisters and three brothers, Angenetta Kincaid, Barbara Koontz, Carol Huffman, Wilma Jean Fox, Patricia Richmond, Ann Meadows, Shirley Winfrey, Chester Meadows, Barger Meadows, Jr., Beecher Meadows; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Buford is a World War II Navy veteran and retired construction worker who enjoyed his family, fishing, hunting and trading.
Buford''s immediate family would like to give special thanks to his sister Wilma who has so lovingly cared for him during his rapidly declining health, and to all the siblings that have been so caring and supportive.
Pastor Nickey Bird will conduct the services at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville Drive at 2:00 p.m. Monday December 11. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at Floral Hills Garden of Memories.
