IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Louise
Bonham
October 14, 1950 – June 27, 2025
Mary Louise Bonham, 74, of Sissonville, passed away June 27, 2025, at Hubbard Hospice House
due to complications stemming from NASH Liver Disease.
Mary was born October 14, 1950, to William "Collett" Bonham, and Mildred Mary Lilly Bonham in Charleston, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Clarence Bonham, a nephew, Larry Bonham, as well as by a host of family and friends. She is survived by her only child Courtney Nicole Bonds (Robert) of Sissonville; Brothers, William Darrell Bonham of Charleston, and Paul Richard Bonham (Sue) of Culloden; Grandchildren, Shayla Bonds and Dalton Bonds, whom she loved dearly; and a host of very special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mary retired from the WV Consolidated Public Retirement Board; Mary was also a member of the Alpha Lambda Master chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She also spent a good bit of her time volunteering with Relay for Life, reading to the elementary school, being involved with the Sissonville Library, Sissonville Community Christmas Celebration/coat drive, and Gabriel Project. Mary loved spending time with Lisa and Roger Smith at their camp on the Greenbrier River, where she would bike on the Greenbrier River Trail, and enjoyed canoeing on the Greenbrier River. And, if there was any kind of ball game, she was there, specially to watch her grandkids! If you knew Mary, you could always count on her to be up for a trip, she loved to do something fun! Let's not forget her love for yard sales! The Junk House, as she would call it, is where she found many of her treasures.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday July 2, 2025 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Raymond Jordan officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary's name may be made to Gabriel Project of WV, P.O. Box 4663 Charleston, WV 25364.
