Martha Ann Myers, 87, was chosen to go home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on September 10, 2008.
She was a member of the Clendenin Pentecostal Church, which our family would like to thank for all their prayers and special church services and songs shared with all of us.
She was preceded in death by a beloved son, Gary W. Myers; a loving grandson, Joey Myers; Parents, Theodore and Mary Shamblin; and three brothers, and two sisters.
She was a devoted and loving wife of 64 years to her husband, Lloyd "Jack" S. Myers, and a loving, caring mother of seven children. Words will never express what a precious person she has been. We were taught to be strong, work hard, and appreciate each other. She has inspired and touched so many lives.
Sons and wives, Donald and Carolyn Myers of Sissonville, David and Pat Myers of Illinois, Charles and Lori Myers of Sissonville, and Larry Myers of Illinois; Daughters and husbands, MaryAnn and Tommy Edens of Sissonville, and Marsha and Chip Eisenhut of Sissonville; twenty grandchildren, and thirty three great grandchildren; Sisters, Virginia Wells, and Laura Darby of Illinois.
The family would like to thank all the special nursing staff of HospiceCare for their support.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, September 14, at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor H. Harper and Pastor F.L. Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
A gathering of friends and family will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
