Margaret "Peggy" Louise Purcell, 81, of Sissonville passed away peacefully on January 31, 2015 at Hubbard Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy is survived by her granddaughter, Melissa McClanahan and husband Corey; great granddaughter, Katelyn McClanahan; brother, David R. Carpenter and wife Brenda K.; and sister, Rita J. Cobb.

In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her children, Howard Mitchell and Kathy L. Purcell; and her brother Curtis V. Carpenter.

Funeral service will be held at noon on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service; Pastor David Taylor and Rev. John Hensley will be officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Carpenter Cemetery.
