Margaret G. Bumgardner of Sissonville passed away at Cedar Ridge Center on July 15th after a long illness.
She was born in Berlin, Germany on June 14, 1928. She had been a member of the Salvation Army Home League and had attended St. Paul Luthern Church.
She was a seamtress at Embee's and The Quality Shop. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ernest C. Bumgardner; her parents, Ernst and Matilde Liebig; her brother, Gerhard Liebig; and twin sister, Gerda Erlandson. She is survived by sons Butch Bumgardner and his wife, Sherilyn of Weirton, and Ralph Bumgardner and his wife, Trena, of Charleston; daughter, Glynis Schmidt, of Charleston; grandchildren, Mike and Danielle Bumgardner, Chris and Beth Bumgardner, Beth Ann Van Bibber, and Errich Schmidt; great-granddaughter, Hailey Bumgardner. The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to members of the staff at Cedar Ridge Center for the kindness and loving care extended to our loved one. Visitation will be held from 11 to 1 on Saturday, July 18th at Long and Fisher Funeral Home in Sissonville with the funeral to follow at 1 PM.
Entombment will be in Floral Hills Gardens of Memories Mausoleum.
