Luther Carl White, 81, of Ripley passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Cedar Ridge Center.

He was the son of the late Harden and Melinda White. Luther was a bluegrass music enthusiast. He loved riding through the back roads taking pictures of forgotten treasures and unique items along the way. Luther was an avid John Deer tractor collector too.

In addition to his parents, Luther is proceeded in death by his loving wife, Birtie L. White; sister, Belva White; brothers, Roy, Warren, Pete, Oscar, and Otis White; and granddog, Missy.

Luther will be missed by his children, Charles E. White, Michael L. White, Theresa D. White, and Loretta Wines; sister, Della Harris; brothers, Kenna White and Clyde White; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with visitation on hour prior to service. Pastor Johnnie White will be officiating.
