Luther "Papa" Debord, 90, of Sissonville passed away February 18, 2007 at home after a short illness.
He was born in Kanawha County on February 17, 1917 to the late Okey and Pearl Ramsey Debord.
He was preceded in death by his lifelong companion Mildred; Brothers, Paul and Joseph Debord; and Sister, Ruth Debord Nalle.
Survived by: Son and his wife, George E. and Jackie Debord; Granddaughters, Rebecca and husband Timmy Dillard, Ashley Debord, Georgette and Husband Larry Boyce, Shelby Dillard, and Chelsey Dillard; Grandson, PFC. Brian E. Debord; Great Grandchildren, Corey and Courtney Dillard, and Caden Boyce.
The Funeral Service will be 11am Thursday, February 22 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Rev. Buddy Mairs officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville. Friends may call 6-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
