Lula Bell Moffatt, 81, of Ripley passed way April 6, 2024 in Jackson General Hospital.

Lula was born January 7, 1943 in Walton to the late Orda Hunt and Minnie Bell Taylor Hunt.  In addition to her parents, Lula was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Moffatt; daughter, Mitzi Moffatt; sons, Danny Hunt, and Mark Hunt; granddaughter, Hope Sweeney; and a grandson, Timothy Young II.

Lula was a secretary with the WV Forestry Division.  She also volunteered at St. Francis and Thomas Hospitals.  Lula was devout Christian, volunteering with Helping Hands at the Ripley Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are loving children, Dwain Hunt, Anita Gear (Jeff), and Darcy Young; sisters, Carolyn Haynes, and Charlotte Metz; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville with Pastor Jeff Keffer officiating.  Service may be held at Long and Fisher Funeral Home Chapel as an alternative due to weather.
