On September 24, 2025, Lori Beth Stewart Asbury gained her angel wings. At 63, she peacefully left this world (while in Hospice care) to be with her son Corey, the reunion her heart had been longing for.

Lori lived her life full of laughter, love and mischief.  She had a way of making the ordinary be special, whether it was fussing over her flowers, riding her golf cart,  spoiling her creek turtles or flashing that unforgettable smile.  Her laugh was one of a kind and could make even the worst day feel better.  Lori loved the simple country life she built with her husband Jim.  The two of them were inseparable, peanut butter & jelly, partners in crime, best friends and soulmates all rolled into one.  Jim wasn't just her husband, he was her safe place and her greatest joy here on earth.

Lori was preceded in death by her father Dale Stewart, her brother Jeff Stewart, and her son, her pride and joy, Jason Corey Burgess.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, James (Jim) Asbury, and her beloved mother Rebecca Kees.  Lori also left behind her doggie Rocco, and a circle of family & friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Per Lori's wishes she will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.  In true Lori fashion, she wouldn't want a somber affair - she would expect stories, smiles and laughter.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice in Lori's name would be appreciated.
