Loretta Faye (Young) "Sis" Haynes, 79, of Sissonville, born October 2, 1937 finished her journey on this earth and began her new journey in Heaven on December 4, 2016 surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren, and her husband, of 60 years, at home after a long hard fought illness.
Sis was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School class of 1956. She dedicated her life to raising her five children, volunteered many years at Buena Vista Elementary School as a home room mother, she was very involved in 4-H, and was an avid bowler. Sis volunteered with her grandchildren''s Sissonville Little League T-Ball teams, loved watching her grand-daughter cheer and also watching her grandchildren play all sports. She loved to travel and see the world with her family; she also spent many hours fishing with her son and grandsons.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Nello Marie (Holmes) Young; father, William Winston Young; two brothers, Archie Young and Ofa Young, and one sister, Myrlie May Young.
Sis will be lovingly remembered and missed by many friends and family whose lives she has touched.
She will be loved and missed dearly every day by her husband Lock E "Buddy" Haynes of Sissonville; her children, Rodney A. Haynes (Tracy) of South Charleston, Kathy L. Haynes-Whiting (Donald) of Sissonville, Oreta M. Haynes - Cunningham (James) of Sissonville, Ronald E. Haynes (Kelly) of Sissonville, and Lori K. Haynes - Devereux (Mike) of Ripley, and her brother, Wesley Young (Dain) of South Charleston.
Sis will be greatly missed by her 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart.
Graveside service will be held at 12:15 p.m. at Floral Hills Garden of Memories Mausoleum with Pastor John Jenkins officiating. All family and friends are invited to come and celebrate Loretta''s life.
The family would especially like to thank hospice care for their loving and wonderful care of their mother and giving them five more blessed weeks with her.
