Loretta Koontz "Koontzie" Conrad, age 81, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 18, 2018, in her home in Orlando, Florida. Loretta was born in Ripley, West Virginia to Goldie B. and Elba Owens Fisher on July 29, 1936. She attended Ripley High School and married the love of her life, U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt Willis Eugene Conrad, on December 6, 1957. They travelled to exotic locations including Okinawa, Japan. The couple had three rambunctious boys: Edward William, Bobby Joe, and Michael Allen. After Willis's premature passing in 1971, Loretta devoted her time to raising her boys and caring for her aging mother. She volunteered with the Azalea Park Little League and was "mom" to all of her sons' friends. The door to her home was always open and she welcomed anyone at any time. She loved to chat with friends and family and never missed sending a birthday or anniversary card to the dozens of special people on her list. She took great pleasure in spoiling her beloved grandchildren as well as all of her "grand dogs". Loretta was Baptist.

Loretta is survived by her sons Edward William Conrad (Orlando, FL), Bobby Joe Conrad and Laurie (Atlanta, GA), Michael Allen Conrad and Stacy (St. Cloud, FL) and grandchildren Niki Joeann and Mitchell Jorden Conrad. The family will receive visitors at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, 6837 Sissonville Drive, Sissonville, WV 25320, Friday, March 23 from 6:00-8:00p.m. Graveside Services will be held at Koontz Cemetery, Kenna WV, Saturday March 24 at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Azalea Park Little League,  P.O. Box 574231, Orlando, FL 32857.
