Lois Jean (nee Holmes) Kiser, 88 of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

Lois was born February 15, 1935 to the late Woodrow Holmes and Lora (nee Haynes) Holmes. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Kiser, sister Naomi Cavender, infant brother Robert Woodrow Holmes and brother-in-law Tom Brown.

Lois is survived by son John Walker and wife Rose Ann of Charleston; grandchildren Matthew Walker of Japan and Daniel Walker and fiancé Heather Tolnay of Barboursville; sisters Genella Brown and Janet (Don) Stalnaker of Charleston as well as several nieces and nephews.

Lois began her career as a secretary in 1953 and retired from the West Virginia Department of Education in 1996. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America.

Per Lois' request there will be no services.

Long & Fisher Funeral Home in Sissonville, WV is overseeing the arrangements. A private burial will be at Floral Hills Garden of Memories at a later date.
