Lois LaVaughn Fowler, 84, of Sissonville, formerly of Grantsville, died June 7, 2016 at Cedar Ridge Nursing Facility after a short illness. LaVaughn was born July 2, 1931 in Grantsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arthrow Dona and Edna Deem Fowler and her brother, Arthrow J. "Art" Fowler. She is survived by her nephews, Richard Alan Fowler and, Frank Scott Fowler (Tammy) all of Orlando, Florida and their children Kristen and Frank.

LaVaughn attended Humphries Memorial United Methodist Church and graduated from Sissonville High School in 1950. She worked 20 years at Sissonville High School where she made many close friends. Prior to losing her vision, she was very active with craft fairs and loved to crochet and make dolls. She also enjoyed working in her garden and canning fruits, vegetables and juices.

Service will be 11am Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Long & Fisher Funeral home, Sissonville. A gathering of family and friends will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Grantsville, West Virginia.
