Lisa Renee Henry, 61, of Dunbar, passed away on July 5, 2023. Born September 21, 1961 in Charleston, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jackie Keith Sowards and Gayle Merlene Ledsome. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Rick Brewer and Steve Ashby. Lisa served her country proudly and with honors in the U.S. Army. She loved going to the beach and spending time with her family and friends. Lisa is survived by her brothers, Barry (Tiffany) Sowards and Brian (Pat) Sowards; nieces and nephews, Tyler Sowards, Kayla Harris, Lance Ashby and Ryan Ashby; great-nephews, Micah and Milo Harris, and her dear friends and family, Irene Shamblin and Sherry Haynes. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Carney Cemetery, 488 Cunningham Road, Kenna, WV, 25248 with Pastor David Taylor, officiating. A memorial gathering will be at the grave from 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M., prior to services.
