Linden E. Fisher, II, 50 of Sissonville, passed away at the home of his Mom and Dad, Ann and Jim Adkins after an 18 month battle with brain cancer.
He was a Christian with a powerful testimony about his love of Christ. His favorite saying was, " I''m just waiting for Jesus."
Linden was born February 4, 1965 in Charleston, WV. He was preceded in death by his Mamaw Emma, PaPaw, Rex Fisher, and his Granny, Maxine Adkins.
Linden was a 1984 graduate of Sissonville High School. He was a self employed trucking contractor with the U.S. Postal Service for 25 years.
He is survived by his parents, Jim and Ann Adkins; daughter, Marissa Fisher and her mother, Brenda; brothers, Richie Fisher and James Allen Adkins; aunts, Agnes Strickland (Hubert), Linda McGrew (Jerry), Vickie Good (Vernon); uncle, Rex Allen Fisher (Becky); and special cousin, Wade Taylor.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Terrence Rhodes and the staff at the CAMC Cancer Center. Hospice nurse Scott Casdorph, his M.S.W. Beth Plants and CNA Sherry Stoffel, for their loving care of Linden and their kindhearted concern for his family.
Funeral services will be at 1pm on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Jerry Bonnett and Pastor Robert Legg will be officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories.
