LIllian Alice Ray, (Marion), age 92, of Saluda SC died April 30, at Newberry County Memorial hospital in Newbury SC .

Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Ray Sr. her son Rocky Ray, her brothers and sisters, and her parents. She is survived by two sons, Terry Ray (Mary Alice) and Clarence Ray Jr. (Carol) and her 3 daughters Geri Williams, (Wayne) Annette Thornton (Mike) and Catherine Halley (Kevin).

She was a devoted mother of 6 who spent countless hours tending to her children's physical and emotional needs. She was the grandmother of 11 a great grandmother of 15 and a great great grandmother of 3.

Lillian loved flowers. Their roots flourished under her care. Her love of nature kept her in her garden nurturing plants of all species colors and sizes.

Her creations included embroidered linens, hand sewn gifts ,numerous quilts of various patterns and beautiful crocheted pieces.

There are not enough words to express how grateful we are to have had her as our dear mother.

Visitation: Family and friends may call from 1:00 -2:00 p.m. on Thursday May 8, 2025, and Funeral Services will follow at
Long and Fisher Funeral Home located at 6837 Sissonville Drive, Sissonville, WV, 25320.
