Obituary

Letty Mae Corns, 98, went home to be with the Lord on July 13, 2013, at Cedar Ridge Center, Sissonville, after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Everett Corns; parents, Russell and Mary Older; daughter, Charlotte N. Brown; son, Ronald C. Corns Sr.; brothers, David, Lee and Henry; and sisters, Hallie, Geraldine and Jane.

She was a Christian and a long-time member of Cross Lanes Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by two sons, David of Richmond, Va. and Frank (Winnie) Corns of Richmond, Va.; her daughter, Betty (Ralph) Gentner of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Corns of St. Albans; her granddaughter, Yvonne (Gary) Shannon, was a wonderful caregiver; sister, Evaline Procter; grandchildren, Yvonne, Sharon, Ronald, Shelia, Jeanie, Lori, Michelle, Lin, Tracey, Debbie and Lisa; 18 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Service will be 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the entire staff of Cedar Ridge Center and Kanawha Hospice Care for their compassion and care for our mother and grandmother.
