Leonard Dale Phillips 83, passed away October 30, 2025 at Mountain View Care Center, Ripley, WV. He was born on September 15, 1942, in Sissonville to the late Ott Lee and Clara Belva Reed Phillips. Leonard attended Sissonville area schools, graduating from Sissonville High School in 1964. He retired from the Laborers Local Union 1353 after many years of working with various construction companies.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents Ott and Belva Phillips, sisters Elizabeth Cochran and Frances Fisher, brother Clifford Phillips, brother in laws Dayton Fields, Junior Cochran and Roscoe Fisher, Roy Asbury

He is survived by sisters, Madeline Fields, Charleston, Pauline Parsons, Fairplain and Dessie Asbury, Ripley. Brothers Wendell Phillips (Jeanie) of Kenna, Ronald Phillips (Nancy) of Advent and Donald Phillips (Kathy) of Liberty. Niece Diann Landers (Roy) and Nephew Varrel Phillips, who was raised with Leonard and his siblings. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Long time friends, BJ, Tammy and Colin Reed.

Funeral service will be Tuesday November 4, 2025 at 1:00 pm, visitation with family and friends one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Garden. Service will be officiated by Pastor Jerry Bonnett.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mountain View Care Center for all their love, care and kindness shown to Leonard during his stay there.
