Leonard Darrell Cogar, 77, went to meet his lord on his 77th birthday, March 9, 2013. He was born March 9, 1936 in Bomont, WV to the late Fred & Minnie Cogar.

Leonard was the youngest from a family of twelve. Leonard retired from the Cleveland Press.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Della Cogar (Browning); son, Leonard "Bud" JR (Cathy); daughters Terri Bender (Bob), Vicky Cogar (Jim), Pam Sweeny; stepdaughter, Rosa Miller (Rob); two sisters Garnet Samples (Kester) and Virginia Miller; 7 grandchildren, Brandy Cogar, Caroline Bender, Dominic Sisi (Alissa), Gary Bender (Sara), Clayton, Ashley & Alexis Miller; many loving nieces and nephews.

He will be greatly missed by many that knew and loved him. Especially his little companions Rufus, Bubba, Punkin, Miss Kitty, Lucky and Festus.

Sincere Thanks to Edna and to all who helped especially the Hospice nurses Monica, Cathy and Holly for the loving care you gave.

Service will be 11 AM Wednesday, March 13 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Rev. Al Mendez officiating.

Friends may call from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
