Leona Faye Hancock, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Leona was born in Kanawha County, WV, to the late Della Hancock and William Richard Hancock.

Leona worked for the State of West Virginia in several positions and retired after 34 years from the Public Service Commission Department. She graduated from Sissonville High School and Marshall University. Leona enjoyed reading and traveling.

Leona was saved at a young age and served her Lord faithfully.

In addition to her parents, Leona is preceded in death by her brother Richard Hancock and nephew Ricky Hancock.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister Laura May Tignor (Wetzel), niece Lisa Tignor (Zach) of Charleston, nephew Terry Tignor of Florida, many other family members, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30,2024 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Garden of Memories.
