Charles "Leon" Sigmon, 77, of Sissonville went to be with the Lord September 16, 2010 in Hubbard Hospice House after a long illness.
Leon was retired from Union Carbide and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Airforce, was a loving father and a friend to many. Thank you for the memories and love.
Preceded in death by parents, Estil and Millie Sigmon, and brothers-in-law, Gene Wheatcraft and Bob Murphy.
Left to cherish his memory are ex-wife, Delma Sigmon of Sissonville; children, Debbie Smith and her husband, David, of Castle Rock, CO, Greg Sigmon and his wife, Kathy, of Des Allemands, LA, and Linda Facemyer and her husband, James, of Sissonville; sisters, Juanita Reed and her husband, Boyd, Mary Lou Wheatcraft and Helen Murphy all of Sissonville; grandchildren, Heather Smith, Heidi Fields, William Sigmon, Steven Sigmon, Abby Facemyer and Adam Facemyer; great-granddaughters, Brooke Fields and Chelsea Sigmon; and nephews, Wayne Reed and Brian Wheatcraft.
The Funeral Service will be 1pm Sunday, September 19 at Maranatha Baptist Church, Sissonville with Pastor Kevan Bartlett officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will be 6-8pm Saturday at the Church.
