Leo "Pete" Taylor passed away at his home in Sissonville, West Virginia, with a house full of family on November 14, 2015, at the age of 81, two days prior to his 82nd birthday.

Pete was born on November 16, 1933 to Nelson and Ida Mae Taylor in Charleston, WV. He was the youngest of 10 children. He is survived by daughters Patricia (Kenny) and Karie (David) in Sissonville, and son Leo (Kitzi) in Saratoga Springs, NY. Along with his children, he is survived by seven grandchildren, Matt, Chris, Lucas, Travis, Grant, Kalli, and Blanton and eight great-grandchildren, Taylor, Collin, Kaylee, Brooke, Kendall, Makayla, Maddie, and Blane. Pete was preceded in death by his parents Nelson and Ida, sister Hazel Hanish, brothers Albert "Bud" Taylor, Atlee Taylor and Dewey Taylor. Of his brothers and sisters he is survived by James "Jimmy" Taylor (Anita) in Ripley, WV. A special thanks to the Hospice organization, and especially to nurse, Scott Casdorph.

Just as his late wife, Faye, family was the most important thing in Pete''s life. Pete loved to tap dance and loved spending time at home with family and friends. He passed with a heart full of love in a house full of family and he will be missed deeply. Pete will always be remembered as a great father, husband, grandfather and having a huge heart. He would do anything he could to help anyone in need, even if it meant personal sacrifice.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville, with Preacher Randy Campbell officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
