Lawrence E. Moffatt, 70, of Kenna passed away December 2, 2007 after a sudden illness.
Lawrence was retired from the United Steel Workers local 14614, Orders Construction Company.
He was preceded in death by: Children, Danny Jermone, and Lawrence Mark Moffatt; Parents, Giles F. and Leona J. Moffatt.
Survived by: Loving wife and best friend, Lula B. Hunt Moffatt; Children, Edmond Dwain Moffatt of Elkview, Darcy Young of Charleston, Anita Gear of Kenna, and Mitzi Moffatt of Ripley; Grandchildren, Amy Good of Kenna, Robert Pettry III and "T.J." Timothy Young both of Charleston, Chad Runion of St. Albans, Chasity Runion of Cross Lanes, Andrew Runion of Summersville, Justin Runion of Kenna, Bradon Wickline of Ripley, Danny M. Bostic of Sissonville, Shawnna Casto of Cross Lanes, and Tina Thaxton of South Charleston; and nine great grandchildren; Siblings, James Moffatt and Theodore Moffatt both of Kenna, Rodney Moffatt of Sissonville, Rodger Moffatt of Washington, D.C., Betty Harper of Kenna, and Vivian Duncan of Bramell.
The Funeral Service will be 2pm Wednesday, December 5 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Rev. Ernest Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville. Friends may call 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
