King J. "Junior" Garnes, 78, of Sissonville passed away September 13, 2006 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Junior was born October 5, 1927 in Jackson County to the Late King Wood and Hettie Hamilton Garnes. He Retired from Union Carbide working as a Mechanical Craft Superintendent, and was a WWII Army Veteran. Junior enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survived by: Wife of 59 years, Reba E. Harrison Garnes at Home; Children, Norma Rice of Indian Head, MD, Jean Stuttler of Cottageville, Greta Cochran of Kenna, Kay Harrison of Kenna, and Hershel Harrison of Lavalette; Ten grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; A host of Friends and Family.
The Funeral Service will be 11am Saturday, September 16 at the Goldtown Community Chapel with Rev. Al Mendez officiating. Burial will follow at Emma Chapel, Liberty. Friends may call from 6-8pm Friday at the Church, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
