Kelly Sue Ashworth, 45, of St. Albans passed away Friday, October 14, 2016 at Thomas Memorial Hospital.

She was the daughter of Susan L. Carrier and the Roger C. Spurlock. Kelly was an avid reader. She enjoyed canning, quilting, painting ceramics, and watching her favorite shows, The Big Bang Theory and The Walking Dead. Kelly loved to go on adventures with her fianc: zip lining, going to Renaissance festivals, eating lobster in Maine, and shopping at IKEA.

Kelly is preceded in death by her son, Roger Cole Spurlock.

She will be missed by her fianc of 19 years, Michael Carey; son, Cody Allen Ashworth; mother, Susan Carrier; "new daddy", James Smith; sisters, Rhonda Banks, and Lisa Tincher (Michael), grandchildren, Jamie Allen, Jack Caden, and Annabel Marie; and nieces, Tori Sue and Sarah Marie; best friend of 35years who was with her until the end, Patricia Wilcoxen.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9pm on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Camp officiating.

Interment will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories.

Kelly was an organ donor through CORE.

In honor of Kelly the family asks those who attend to wear jeans and an orange or tye dye t-shirt in her honor.
