Kathy Ann Walker Ray, 69, of Sissonville, WV, passed away on April 3, 2026, at CAMC Memorial Hospital. Born February 5, 1957, to the late Paul and Marguerite Walker of Tuppers Creek, Kathy was a proud 1975 graduate of Sissonville High School.

Kathy dedicated nearly 30 years to her career at Rite Aid, where her kindness and work ethic led to many lifelong friendships. She is survived by her husband, Ricky Ray; her daughter, Kelly (Wayne) Fisher; and her granddaughter, Cassidy Ray (Keith Cochran), whom she raised as her own. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Brooklyn, Parker, Charles, Ellieanna, Kaylie, and Easton Fisher; her great-grandchildren, Willow and Rowdy Cochran; and many nieces and nephews.

Kathy will be deeply missed by her siblings: Debbie Shock, Michael Walker, Beverly Kemp, and Pam (Frank) Anderson. Her loss is also felt by the many others who looked to her as a second mother, grandmother, or nurturing presence from their childhood.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her younger sister, Tammy Jeffries; and her beloved daughter, Kristina "Krissy" Ray.

An avid reader throughout her life, Kathy found solace in books even during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sissonville Public Library in her memory.

In accordance with Kathy’s wishes, she will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
