Obituary

Kathryn Lee Berry, affectionately known as "Kathy", aged 80, went home to be with the Lord on July 16th, 2024, in Charleston, WV.

Born on February 15th, 1944, in Whitehaven, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Sidney Edward Lee and Sydney Louise Lee. She spent her final days surrounded by the love and warmth of her family.

Kathy is survived by her sisters, Caroline Janette Krugler and France Lee Daughtry-Gill; her children, Harold Evertt Berry (Diane), Caryn Hartzog Tipton (Charles), Kelly Hartzog Virani, Tyler Wayne Hartzog, and Patsy Rae Hartzog (James); fifteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Edward Lee, Gerald Lamar Lee, Roy David Lee; sisters, Peggy Quay Fugatt, Maggie Ruth Watkins; and her beloved daughter, Alison Louise Berry.

Kathy was a beacon of kindness and dedication, known for her selfless nature and witty humor. Her loyalty to her loved ones was unwavering, and she always placed the needs of her family above her own. As a devoted mother and grandmother, Kathy cherished every moment with her children and grandchildren, ensuring their happiness and comfort.   Kathy found great solace and joy in her faith. She enjoyed having Bible study with her family, listening to preaching, and enjoyed listening to worship music, which brought her immense peace and fulfillment.

The family has entrusted Long and Fisher Funeral Home in Sissonville, WV, with the arrangements.

Kathy's life and legacy will be honored and remembered by all who knew her, as she continues to inspire kindness and devotion in the hearts of her family and friends.
