"Karen Sue Elmore"

On Saturday, February 9, 2019, Karen Sue Elmore, loving mother of three children and wife; passed away peacefully at the age of 56. She was born on May 18, 1962 in Spencer and was raised in the Walton community. Karen was an amazing mother, wife, and friend.

Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Willard "Winkie" Elmore; parents, William "Bill" and Hazel Huffman; and one brother, Billy Huffman.

Left to cherish her memory is her children, Priscillia Elmore (Anthony) of Walton, Dollie Elmore (Jason) of Ravenswood, James Elmore (Makala) of Gabe, and Rusty Elmore of Kenna whom she loved as a son; grandchildren, Mary Alice and Mason Ferrebee, Brooklyn and Lakyn Swindler, Kara Flowers, and Maleaha Elmore; step grandchildren, Susan Larch and Chance Jeffreys; sisters, Kitty Huffman (Randal) of Walton, Kathy Taylor (Bill) of Bomont; and Judy Parker whom she loved like a sister;  step dad, Donnie Balckwell of Walton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the lady Mom loved as a sister, Linda Sims: She donated a kidney to Mom which gave us five more grateful, thankful years with our angel. Karen loved Linda and was very thankful for giving her a miracle…the gift of life.

Karen was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all, she was beautiful in everyway, and she had more courage and strength ever imaginable.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 3pm at the Walton Community Building. All Family and Friends are welcome! Karen never met a stranger.
