Harry "Junior" Cochran, 80, of Sissonville went to be with the Lord February 21, 2007 at Jackson General Hospital after a short illness.
Junior was a farmer, a member of Stonelick Community Church, and an Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. He retired from Local 1353 Laborer''s Union, and was a lifetime member of WV American Legion Post 0073.
Junior was preceded in death by his wives, Elizabeth Phillips Cochran, and Arbutus Cobb Cochran.
Survived by: Fiance, Maxine Bordenet of Hometown; Children and their spouses, Lorene and Harold Cobb of Liberty, Susie Barrow of Nitro, and Raymond and Brenda Cochran of Kenna; Step-Children, Roger Wolfe and Ann Wright both of Dunbar; Grandchildren, Jason and Joyce Cobb both of Liberty, Ricky Cochran of Kenna, Brandy Powell of Nitro, and Jonathan Presley of Poca; Brothers, Curtis and Dorsal Cochran both of Kenna, Marvin Cochran of Liberty, and Dennis Cochran of Ripley; Sisters, Marcelene Starcher of Liberty, and Glennis Farmer of Sandyville; and three great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be 11am Saturday, February 24 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor David Spencer officiating. Military Rites will be conducted at the Funeral Home by the WV American Legion Post 107, Ripley. Burial will then follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville. Friends may call 6-8pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
