June Whittington Johnson, 83, of Goldtown went to be with the Lord February 15, 2011 in Hubbard Hospice House after a short illness.
June was a member of the Watts Chapel Ladies Aide and was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Johnson; son, Robert Johnson; parents, Lora and Lemuel Whittington; siblings, Quentin, Billy, Lemy, and Collett Whittington, and Frances Campbell; and son-in-law, Reverend Davy Joe Hissom.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Rhonda Johnson Hissom of Charleston, and Raina Crowder and her husband, Joe, of Goldtown; grandchildren, Trinity Johnson, Amanda Hissom-Smith, KayLee, Stetson, and Kenzie Crowder; great-grandchildren, Trenton and Taylor Johnson, and Kingston Hissom-Smith; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The Funeral Service will be 2pm Friday, February 18 at the Emma Chapel Church, Liberty, with Reverend Franklin Howerton officiating. Burial will follow in the Emma Chapel Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be 5-8pm Thursday at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville.
