Juanita V. Boggess, 93, of Sissonville went to be with the Lord June 6, 2016 after a short illness.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Londa; parents, Flem and Mabel Boggess; son, Roger Boggess; and numerous siblings.

Juanita was a Christian, and enjoyed gardening, and cooking.

Left to cherish her memory are loving children, Junior Boggess (Geneva) of Trace Fork, Katherine Smith, and Sue Davis (Denver) both of Kenna, Jimmy Boggess (Peggy) of Trace Fork, Rick Boggess (Ratha) of Liberty, Mitchell Boggess of Allran, Sandy Dillard of Hurricane, and Tim Boggess (Roberta) of Trace Fork; brother, Emory Boggess (Janet) of Tuppers Creek; and her dog, Wimpy; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Service will be 11am Thursday, June 9 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Bonnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Boggess Family Cemetery, Trace Fork.

A gathering of family and friends will be 6-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
