Johnny Tackett, 77, of Charleston, WV, went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2023 at CAMC Memorial Hospital. Born October 25, 1945 in Charleston, he was the son of the late Erman and Ezyleen Holmes Tackett. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Ray Tackett and sister, Betty Wolfe. He is survived by his sister, Sharon (Jake) Hersman; brother, William Tackett; , a host of nieces and nephews along with many more friends and church family. The family would like to send a special thank you to Johnny's brother in Christ, Valdon Higginbotham, for everything he did to help. Johnny was a faithful member of Kanawha Two Mile Bible Church and enjoyed being with his church family. He was a loving, caring, and humble man who will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home in Sissonville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at 12:00 P.M.
