Obituary
John Paul Rock, 79, of Charleston passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, April 9, 2014.
Born November 21, 1935 in Quinwood, WV; he was the son of the late Lovell Rock and Stella Mae Edens Rock.
John was a graduate of Elkview High School Class of 1955, a member of the Masonic Lodge #153; 320 Scottish Rite member; Beni Keden Patrol, and Tiskelwah # 45 Eastern Star. He attended Bible Center Church and was a member of Mile Fork Church in Coopers Creek.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his four brothers, Lovell Jr., William E., Albert W., and Eugene M. Rock; six sisters, Genivee Johnson, Bette Kohnen, Reva Cook, Wanda Rybot, Wilma L. Rock, and Janet L. Adkins.
John is survived by his loving wife, Audrey M. Rock; a brother, J.D. Rock of Kimbolton, OH and Zipher Hills, FL; a sister, Linda Sutton of Laurens, SC; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on August 8, 2015 at Elk Hills Memorial Gardens in Big Chimney, WV.
