Joe E. Elliott, Sr., 73, died September 8, 2012 at home after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his son Joe Eugene Elliott, Jr.
Joe was a loving father, husband and grandfather. Dad we love you and will miss you, Love You, Carmel Baldwin. Joe never knew a stranger and will be sadly missed. PaPa you were our father and papa and we will love and miss you, Stevie & Tommy Elliott.
Joe is survived by his wife Mary; daughter, Carmel Baldwin and her husband George; sons, Johnny Little, Timmy Elliott of FL, Billy Jo Elliott of Akron, OH; sister, Genevieve Igo of St. Albans, Dollie Peal of St. Albans; brothers, Rev. Robert Elliott and wife Cheryl of Charleston, Henry of NY, Albert Elliott of Ripley; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 PM Wednesday September 12 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Clifford "Val" Thaxton officiating. Burial will follow in Shinns & Little Cemetery, Rock Castle.
Friends may call from 1 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
