Jimmy J. Miller, 79, of Sissonville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Cedar Ridge Nursing Center.

Born July 12, 1937 in Madison, he was the son of the late Cisco Miller and Lula Adkins Miller. Jimmy serviced our country in the US Air Force for 16 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ginsenging and telling jokes and stories. He loved to make people laugh.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Gay Baldwin; a sister, Aretta Talbert; and a brother, Tommy C. Miller.

Jimmy will be missed by his loving wife, Althera June Miller; daughters, Rebecca June Johnson and her husband, Michael; and Teresa Lynn Mulcahy and her husband, Joseph ; sisters, Mary Sue Spratt and Juanita Mullins; brother, Jackie Lee Miller; grandchildren, Cary W. Johnson, Melany D. Clark, Amber N. Baldwin, Joseph P. Mulcahy, and Eric T. Mulcahy; great grandchildren, Arielle L. Johnson, Tony A. Hudson, Jaron W. Johnson, Meela R. Clark, and Milano L. John; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Christie Berty will be officiating.

Burial will immediately follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
