Janet M. Osborne, 77, of Princeton, WV formally of Glenville, WV departed this life March 30, 2013 at home after a short illness.

She was born April 9, 1935 in Jackson County, the daughter of the late Hoyt and Hazel Ray Lanham. She was preceded in death by her husband William J. "Bill" Osborne on July 10, 1999, whom she married on April 23, 1955. In addition she was preceded by two brothers Delmar Lanham formally of Kenna, WV, Marvin Lanham of Charleston, WV. Sisters Audrey Milam of Romance, WV, Marie Shamblin of Romance, WV, Omie Iman of Baltimore, MD, Lois Ruckman of Baltimore, MD and Reba Edmonds of Baltimore, MD. She was also preceded by daughter in law Kelly D. Osborne of Princeton, WV

Janet was a graduate of Ripley High School and formally employed at Glenville State College. She was an avid Concord University Women''s Basketball fan. She was Christian and a member of Kee Street United Methodist Church in Princeton, WV.

Survivors in include son Kenneth W. Osborne and wife Vickie of Princeton, WV. Granddaughter and her pride and joy Kristen Osborne of Princeton, WV. Grandsons John Embrescia and wife Kelli of Beckley, WV, and Michael Embrescia of Ft. Bragg, NC. She is also survived by a multitude of family and friends.

Service will be Noon Wednesday, April 3 at Floral Hills Garden of Memories Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Mike Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico.

Friends may call one hour prior to service Wednesday at the Mausoleum Chapel.

Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Pocatalico, is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers donations are asked to be made to the Concord University Foundation memo Women''s Basketball or to the American Heart Association.
