Janet Coleman Fisher Harrison, 85, of Charleston went to be with her Savior and rejoin her loving husband of 63 years Coy Harrison on June 25, 2010 while at home, surrounded by her loving family after a long illness.
Born August 9, 1924 in Goldtown, WV, to the late Freddie Coleman and Opal Fisher. Janet married the love if her life Coy on July 14, 1942 and became a homemaker and loving mother.
Known for her generosity, unconditional love and humerous disposition, her home was always open to all who came to visit. Her loving hands of gold never offered anything but unconditional love. Our Family home was a haven to all.
Besides her loving husband Coy, her Mother and Father, she was preceded in death by far too many relatives to mention. One precious loved one with whom she spent a lot of time in the past two years was her great great grand daughter Sidney Reece Pritt, who left us far too soon recently an May 11, 2010.
Left to mourn her loss are her daughter, Judy Hall of Charleston, her loving caretaker, sons Steve (Dorothy) Harrison of Nitro, and Gregory Harrison of Charleston.
Grand Children: Lisa Edens of Charleston who lovingly took care of mothers home, flowers and yard and her Nanny. Mark (Lora) Hall of Given, Todd Harrison of Louisville, KY Master Sargent with the USAF Brent (Marcia) Harrison of Grovetown , GA Nancy Massey of Scott Depot, Ritchie Holleron of Nitro, Brittany Harrison Of Charleston and Blake Harrison of Charleston
Great Grandchildren: Jessica (Chad) Pritt of Sissonville,Zachary Edens of Charleston, Michael Massey of Scott Depot, Cohen Harrison of Charleston, Alana Harrison of Grovetown, GA, Calaiha Martin of Charleston.
Brother: Arnold (Lois) Fisher of Laurinburg, NC
Sisters: Kitty (Keith) Phillips of Charleston, WV and Sherry (Jim) Hughart of North Carolina
Brother in Law: Atlee (Mary) Harrison of Evans, WV Sister in Laws: Carol Wandling of Cordova, TN and Catherine Harrison of Charleston, WV.
She also leaves behind her sister of heart Winifrede Harrison of Dunbar as well as many nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
The family would like to thank Hospice for their loving and faithful care and became part of our family.

The work these people do is a calling from God and only the most special people could be a part of the Hospice Team. A special thank you to Judy Short of the Light House program who not only cared for Janet, but became a member of the family.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at The Long and Fisher Funeral Home with the Reverend Pete Thompson officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 OM until service time at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in the Floral Hills Mausoleum, Sissonville.
