James Walker White, Jr., 89 years old, passed away peacefully at his home in Elyria, Ohio with family on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

Mr. White was born in Charleston on October 22, 1935 and made his home in Elyria, Ohio for most of his life. He served in the Navy for 4 years during the Korean War and then at Ford for 35 years. He loved boating, fishing, gardening, playing cards and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his two daughters, Katherine White of Elyria, Ohio and Tammy (Brian) Gamble of Wellington, Ohio; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles White (Barb) and Clifton Eary (Brenda); two sisters, Joyce Hudson (Keith), and Virginia Barker (Bill).

He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Sue White (Hanshaw) of 58 years; his parents, James and Audrey White; brother, William; one sister, Grace Bryda; and one grandson, Justin Londo.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, 6837 Sissonville Drive Sissonville. Burial with Military Honors will be held after the visitation at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville at 2:30 p.m.
