James A. Mentz, 38, of Sissonville died at home Friday May 9, 2008.
He was a graduate of Sissonville High School class of 1988, and was employed by Exide Battery Company of Charleston, WV.
James was preceded in death by his Mother, Joyce Coffman Cochran; Grandfather, Harding Coffman; and Cousin, Corey Jarrett.
James is survived by: Daughter, Marlee Mentz of Greenville, TN; Step Children, Christopher and Katelyn Linville of Sissonville; Maternal Grandmother, Catherine Coffman; Step Father, Matthew Cochran of Sissonville; Sister, Leah Lauchart and husband Terry of Sissonville; Nephew, Ethan Lauchart of Sissonville; Aunt and Uncles, Rita Jarret, Larry Jarret, Gary and Marsha Coffman, Randy and Jennifer Coffman, and Kevin and Karen Coffman; Cousins, Casey Jarrett, Tanner Coffman, Haley Jarrett, Rachel Coffman and Kinzy Coffman.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday May 16, 2008 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Rev. Jeff Mosteller officiating. A Private family burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to the Corey Jarrett Trust Fund c/o Chad Taylor at WesBanco, Sissonville Branch.
