James "Jimmy" Eugene Fowler Jr, 67, of Kenna, departed this life on Thursday, September 11, 2025. He was born on February 26, 1958, to the late James E. Fowler Sr. and Linda P. Burdette Fowler.

He spent the early part of his life working in construction and operating heavy machinery. He is a beloved husband, father, pawpaw, and friend. He enjoyed camping, fishing, deer hunting, riding four-wheelers, attending church, and simply being outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren, as well as sitting on the front porch talking with the neighbors.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his sister, Vickie Slater, and brother Rodney Fowler.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Mary Fowler, son Adam Fowler, daughter Sarah Fowler Hendrix, her husband Josh Hendrix, grandchildren Cayden and Gavin Hendrix and Evan Slater, sister Lisa Fowler Holmes, aunt Kathy Burdette Sarrett, nephews and nieces including Travis Fields, Marc Slater, Shasta and Lacey Fowler, Brittany Baldwin, and Christiana and Jessica Chapman.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Fowler Cemetery.
