Jackie Elizabeth Jewell, 88, of Charleston, WV, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at CAMC Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 5, 1935, to the late John W. and Julia E. Bentley Parsley.

Jackie worked as a data entry clerk for 20 years at Charleston Area Medical Center. She was a Humphreys Memorial United Methodist Church member and a member of the Women's Group at Humphreys Memorial United Methodist Church. Jackie was a full-time cat whisperer and enjoyed bowling.

In addition to her parents, Jackie is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Jewell, brothers James Parsley and Butchie Parsley, and one granddaughter, Amy Dawn Jewell.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Steven Jewell (Sherry), Kenneth Jewell, John Jewell, and Melissa Taylor, grandchildren Rachel Sawyers (Joe), Christinia Montanez, Janelle Jewell, and Jacob Jewell, six great-grandchildren, Julia Halstead, Jewell Jones, Lana Jones, Steven Jones, Syler Jewell, and Simon Jewell.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Humphreys Memorial United Methodist Church, with Pastor George Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. before the service at the church.
