Jackie L. Chapman, born May 9, 1948, passed away unexpected at home on Monday, April 6, 2015.
Jack was a retired logger and most recently a truck driver and equipment operator for Moles Dozer Service. He became disabled by exposure to Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Paris and India Harper; his parents, Okey and Mabel Chapman; sister, Tammy; and infant grandson Ezekiel Keller.
Jack is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dorothy McClung Chapman, his daughters and their families: Bertha Curvey (Mark) and their children, Laci and Aimee; Jacqueline (James) Oxley and their children, Susan and J.B.; Holly Keller (Joshua) and their son, Zachariah; a brother Bill Chapman of Elkview; sister, Valerie Montoya; as well as many extended family and friends.
Care of Jack''s earthly remains has been entrusted to Long & Fisher Funeral Home in Sissonville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6pm on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with funeral service immediately following at 6pm.
A committal service will be Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 10am at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens in Cross Lanes.
