Jack David Beckner, 69, of Sissonville passed away on October 24, 2015 at Hubbard Hospice House.
Born December 26, 1945, he was the son of Virginia Beckner and the late Arley "Dick" Beckner. Jack was a Christian. He enjoyed watching and listening to the sermons of Shepherd''s Chapel; and reading his bible. He was a woodworker, painter, and an avid gun collector. Jack loved watching his birds and squirrels. He served our country in the United States Air Force.
Jack will be missed by his wife, the love of his life for 37 years, Narketta Beckner; three children, Terry Beckner (Donna), J.D. Beckner (Melissa), and Sheila Little (Chris); step son, Wade Hampton; nine siblings, Kenny Beckner, Bonnie Higginbotham (Roger), Glen Beckner, Delbert Beckner (Mamie), Joe Beckner (Valerie), Raymond Beckner (Joyce), Timmy Beckner (Alesia); six grandchildren, Joshua and Jared Asbury, Zachary Beckner, Aysia Beckner and Chase Beckner, and Jonathan Boner; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Jack is preceded in death by his brother, Edgar Beckner; and sister, Anna Mae Harris.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at noon on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home.
Entombment will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories with Military rites given by the United States Air Force representatives and American Legion #61.
