On March 6, 2026, after a brief illness, Isaac “DANNY” Anderson, Jr. went home to God, to be reunited with his beloved mom Mary Sue Anderson, dad Isaac Daniel Anderson Sr. and big brother Kenneth “Dale” Wylie.
Danny, aka “Bubba” by many, was a social butterfly, he never met a stranger and always remembered a phone number. Due to his developmental disability at birth, Danny faced challenges throughout his life of which he met head on.
Danny grew up in Pocatalico, WV living on White Oak Drive. He was an avid bike rider, often riding from Pocatalico to the Charleston Town Center to have lunch with a friend and returning safely, almost on a daily basis. Some would say that Danny had an idyllic childhood, content to visit those he loved on his daily bicycle journeys, ride his dirt motorbike and jump into the backyard pool. Of course all days and evenings included lots of good food, occasional trips to the restaurants of his choice and lots of Little Debbie cakes.
Due to Danny’s mother’s declining health, he relocated to Ohio in 2013 to be closer to his younger sister (Vicki Anderson Gregg) and her family. He lived in his own apartment and held several jobs in the community, both with necessary support. Danny made new friends in Ohio and kept in close contact with many family and friends from the Charleston, WV vicinity over the years, never forgetting their phone numbers.
Danny could be quite rambunctious over the years, many that are reading this know exactly what we are referring to. But Danny could be the absolute sweetest and most thoughtful too! You could not help but love him. And when he would get tickled and snort, you could not help but laugh too. Everybody loved Danny!
The memories are plentiful! He will be missed terribly by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him! It is hard to imagine a world without “Our Bub”.
Danny, lovingly known by many as “Danny Boy”, “Bubba”, “Homeboy” and on occasion “the Pain in the Butt!” is survived by his sisters Denise Anderson Mannion (Jim Adams), Vicki Anderson Gregg (John), Danya Lynn Canterbury (Ronald) and sister-in-law Debra Lynn Wylie (Dale). His nieces and nephews: Christopher Wylie (Maggie), Courtney Wylie, Lindsay Mannion Smith (Jed), Landyn Mannion Lewis (Trey), Audrey Gregg, Jason Canterbury (Teresa) and Jesica Canterbury Walker (Brenton) and 6 great nieces and 4 great nephews.
Friends and family are invited to memorialize and celebrate Danny’s life on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Pocatalico Community Church with visitation from 10-11am and memorial service at 11am. A committal service will immediately follow at the mausoleum chapel at Floral Hills Garden of Memories.
